IEEE 1284 A to C connector

IEEE 1284 A to C connector

The IEEE 1284 Standard is a method for a bi-directional parallel peripherals to interface for personal computers. This standard provides a high-speed bi-directional communication between PC’s and external peripherals that can communicate 50 to 100 times faster than the original parallel port. The IEEE 1284 standard is completely backward compatible with all existing parallel port host-peripheral communications. I/O Interconnect has a full line of connectors and cable assemblies to meet all your IEEE 1284 needs. I/O Interconnect’s connectors ensure operation due to our designed overmold which is equipped with both grips for easy grasping during insertion or withdrawal and lips serving as guides for mating. These two features prevent damage to connection pins while a strain relief is placed on the cable assemble for added resilience. Custom molding is also available to include customer nameplates and logos.
